IMPORTANT: Look for your child’s Medicaid or CHIP renewal in the mail, complete it and mail it back immediately. They may be covered even if you’re not! Every child currently covered by Medicaid or CHIP will need to go through a renewal process within the next several months. Keep your child covered and healthy. Complete the renewal as soon as you get it in the mail! Go to Medicaid.gov/renewals to find contact information for your state Medicaid office.

Celebrating 5 Years of CHIPRA! Secretary Sebelius Highlights Achievements

February 4, 2014

Today marks an important milestone in children's health. There are 4 million more children insured in Medicaid and CHIP since President Obama signed the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 (CHIPRA) into law 5 years ago! This anniversary provides an opportunity to take stock in what we have accomplished for children such as increased health insurance coverage, improved access to health care, and reduced financial burdens and stress for parents.

Together we can continue to make progress by helping to enroll more eligible children in Medicaid and CHIP – and keep them covered for as long as they qualify.
