February 4, 2014
Today marks an important milestone in children's health. There are 4 million more children insured in Medicaid and CHIP since President Obama signed the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 (CHIPRA) into law 5 years ago! This anniversary provides an opportunity to take stock in what we have accomplished for children such as increased health insurance coverage, improved access to health care, and reduced financial burdens and stress for parents.
- Read HHS Secretary Sebelius’ blog commemorating the 5th anniversary of CHIPRA and highlighting achievements
- Review data released by the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation
- Activate your network and get involved in the Connecting Kids to Coverage Challenge
Together we can continue to make progress by helping to enroll more eligible children in Medicaid and CHIP – and keep them covered for as long as they qualify.
